Yes, it would be nice to see a younger up and coming candidate. However, thinking strategically about it Cooper had been a good governor for NC and he has a strong base of support there. If Dems are going to win in the midterms his name recognition and solid record will make the difference.
Yes, I agree with you, 100%. It has to be done to win the seat. My point is there is little enthusiasm for doing the same thing over and over again. The old guard is not embracing new fresh talent. They say, we're the big tent, but we do things the old way. It's the only way they know how to win.
You’re absolutely correct. The political landscape has changed and not in a good way. If Dems want to be able to avoid in the future what our country is now going they have to adapt to situation. The old political norms of the past are no longer in play. “Without change, there is stagnation”
