The wall shadow is added. Note the shade on the faces from the cap bills. The sun is shining from the upper left. The wall shadow makes no sense.

Yes it does. It captures the cap and his chin. Our minds interpret it as the cap rim being his nose but that is the cap rim and his chin. The cap shadow blocks his nose so the sun isn't casting his nose shadow.
