maybe it's cheesy, but I'm doing a plain-language academic integrity pledge this semester with real signatures. It's also a writing workshop class, so most assignments are pass-fail. students edit them and submit a polished portfolio. will it keep the AI monster at bay? place your guesses below

I have a feeling it will help. My son in community college has been talking about A.I. with his friend group, and there seems to be a sense of solidarity against it. I know it's anecdotal, but it is a data point. Having upfront discussions feels right.

That's a good sign! What is he studying? Field of study seems to impact how much I see AI cheating. Electives & freshman comp: It's constant and I can't get on top of it. Design students (whom I have this coming semester) seem less impressed with AI. I'm hoping that continues

Engineering. Some of this was around his C++ class, too. Where A.I. can be useful, but not helpful to help one learn how to develop software.
