my take is: if you're an artist and you actively choose to ignore the implications and use AI for any reason, you're straying away from your artistic-self and further into a consumer-self. you're on the edge of losing the whole point of art entirely.
Yeah, I hate when that happens.
instagram brain will do that to you
I had to stop watching Lioba Brückner when she started copying AI... Just so sad, because she was clearly imaginative. The grind to constantly make new content must have been a motivator for her. :/
"I use whatever helps me make money and fuck everybody else." What a piece of shit.
I cannot understand people who once made art who start using AI generators. It's like they never cared about making art at all they just care about appearing as if they are an artist.
He has since deleted his comment admitting to it being AI
Oh and a coward too, cool cool cool
Well he has a fedora in his profile pic so there’s also that…
Oh, he's one of those.
I've noticed many professional artists have adapted it, not really caring or thinking about how it affects growing artists or others who don't have an established career. :/
I've also noticed artists using chatgpt for image generation not for their art but for fun little trends like "me as a dog" or "me as a baby". Do they not understand that using it at all is bad for artists, regardless of if they are making "art" with it or not?
yeeeup! There are many good reasons not to use AI but the biggest one for me is that I believe firmly in artist solidarity. I am where I am because artists helped me when I was starting out and I will always do the same for others! Using AI sells out other artists.
Gross.
