I know someone who thinks he should suffer a severe brain aneurysm, but live and be able to hear and understand everything around him. But unable to move, take care of himself or even speak.

Oral cancer.... he can't speak but can still hear everything. Can't enjoy food. McDonald's freebies go to waste & can't speak another lie, ever again.

You are describing a brain stem stroke, not an aneurysm.

We're not that fussed with the precise medical cause; more focussed on the prolonged painful & lingering state.

I too know someone who has described his demise as the exact same way.

They want him to be aware and suffer. Can’t say I blame anyone wishing for that. 😊
