Interesting stats from the American Physical Society about hardship waivers for membership fees this year. #physics 🧪

That's why, since April, we've offered a membership fee waiver for physicists experiencing job loss or financial hardship — supporting both new and renewing members. The results so far: • 1,750 membership waivers granted • 40% of recipients are international members • Over 30% of recipients are early-career physicists This initiative is helping us ensure that physics remains a global, inclusive, and collaborative field as we grow and welcome new voices into the community.
