Honestly getting the feeling that a lot of them would be happy to pay for the chance to go in and kick butt* in the name of MAGA. *Where "kick butt" = "pick up trash"

It takes them away from their homes, families and jobs though. Nobody actually likes that even if they bloviate that they do.

Agreed. The problem with some, though, is the delight they take in the cruelty. Although I imagine enough are pleased just to see its results, don't need to perform it.
