As someone who has worked in academia most of my adult life, yeah. It's...not good, and it really does sour me on these types and anything they say, because it's clear they don't respect me and the actual work that gets done in college teaching/academia.
At some point it’s all just subcultural posturing and resentments all the way down, you know?
Anyway: there are lots of really good leftist writers and thinkers both inside and outside of academia who *don’t* throw their comrades on either side under the bus for online clout
