Ruin a book by adding Tom Clancy's to the title Tom Clancy’s Watership Down
What’s the deal with this. Why Tom Clancy
I think just because of all those factory-written books that have his name directly in the title. He's published 20+ books since his death in 2013.
I didn’t even know he was dead.
His post humours books are still going I think so easy to see why
Ha, 20 was meant to be a bit of an exaggeration. According to Wikipedia, it is actually 28
I've kinda been wondering this too, Ive seen it everywhere and I feel like I missed something.
I’ve never read any of his books.
Nope, he's way out of my wheelhouse reading wise.
For a while, movies adapted from Clancy's books were prefixed "Tom Clancy's" in marketing. Then movie tie-ins of his books would have the marketing on, hence a book by Tom Clancy would be titled "Tom Clancy's [title]".
He’s also quite military tech orientated and lots of action usually
Yeah I think we've got a couple of his games floating around someplace.
All I know is that video game adaptions of his books are titled that way e.g. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six or Tom Clancy's The Division. I dunno if his books are titled that way, too.
That makes sense. I'm going to chalk it up to my never reading his books so I don't get it 😂
