You nailed it. The washed out colors make it look a bit like an animation cel. And the pose and expression make it look like it's the episode where you try caffeine for the first time 😉 Always a joy seeing Tex. Keep up the great work

I really like this style! I don't know that it screams 90s-00s to me. You might have better luck with thick black lines as were in vogue.
