I only have anecdotal evidence, but where I live, in a small town in WV, doctors are in high demand. Between access to healthcare via ACA and living in a place where it can be difficult to get access to healthy food, there are a lot of health issues and people have insurance.
I am also in small town WV and you summed everything up perfectly. Except no Fox in my doc's office :)
Now, is all that going to go to shit? Yep? Did they vote for it? To them, no, they've had it blasted into their heads that all this money for services is going to immigrants and if we just got rid of immigrants then there's plenty for everyone. I go into the doctor's office and they're blaring Fox.
Should they have listened to Harris? Of course they should have. But if you believe Trump, then someone else (immigrants)caused your problem. If you think Harris is right, then these people did it to themselves and that's something a lot of folks can't come to terms with unfortunately.
The closed rural hospital won’t need them to come to terms with it
Conservative "news" is medical facilities is one of those things that we don't talk about much but has no doubt done tremendous damage over the years. I've seen it repeatedly myself and I live in a northern city and don't often need medical care. I can only imagine how pervasive it is for others.
