I really think the Dems could use a wartime NeverTrump Consigliere not for political effectiveness generally, but on how to deal with Republicans.

I wonder if this is what Newsom has done? I mean, it’s such a sharp departure from Dem Inc. Not hard to picture one of the more combative NeverTrump guys giving him that advice or even running the Twitter account. If so, it’s smart not to be seen doing it.

They would never give someone that power because they each want it. Look at Newsom great job. All the dems loathe him. They aren't forward thinking. Let Newsom be the fighter and spokesperson. Then use him as a foil. While I dont agree with the governors methods blah blah blah.
