BIL had glioblastoma. Died three years ago. They have developed a mRNA cancer vaccine at the University of Florida. Which reprograms the immune system to attack glioblastoma, the most aggressive and lethal brain tumor. Those people want us to give up research on mRNA and cancer.
I feel you, Reinhardt. I lost a childhood friend 11 years ago to glioblastoma. He lived eight months post-diagnosis. Such a cruel cancer.
The mRNA technology is really a game changer. I just can’t wrap my head around their “logic”.
They lack the understanding, plain and simple. Human has to remind himself about how ignorant the general population is in this country ad nauseam. If/when we make it through this period human hopes there is some substantial investment in public education, we desperately, desperately need it!
It’s sad. The lack of regard for people who are educated and have done training/worked in these areas of expertise is really concerning. Makes me wonder where medicine and science will be in 10 years.
Human is expecting a pretty protracted plateau in progress/advancements here as a best case scenario. But there is big, big risk of regression in treatments and options. There is no human more confident in themselves and their knowledge than a stupid human.
They simply lack the understanding and knowledge base required to question their own assumptions.
Me either. The hope it provides to so many whose diagnoses was hopeless before. Why would we not want to continue research?
This is the thing Mom is angriest about. We too lost a friend to a glioblastoma.
More people should be angry.
She is angry about so many things. Also if anyone on a visa wants to burn a flag, they should drop in our DM’s. Mom is happy to do it for them so they don’t get deported
It is a very long list of grievances. Where the burning takes place is crucial but, yes, same.
Dad has been upset over the flag burning issue. We had a history lesson on the court cases. Then we had US Flag Code discussion of all the violations one sees daily on trucks flying all those flags. My fav is: The flag should never be drawn back or bunched up in any way. DO NOT HUG THE FLAG.
