None of us did, but we all knew trump would come for MD, especially after AG Brown filed 1 of the first suits against the administration. I was a bit concerned that Govorner Moore might be too civilized and decent to deal with him accordingly, but he's doing good so far.

I heard about a blue state govornors chat led by Pritzker and Walz several months ago that was started in 2020, so I think there might be 1, very quietly in the background.
I hope that blue state governors chat is still happening, or picked up again after the 2024 “election”.

My governor (NY) has said she is working towards something similar to CA. But we need a special vote to pass the amendment, so she needs to get moving and be more public about it. Are you listening @governor.ny.gov?

I honestly think he would have a much more difficult time securing governor. Zeldin tried to win governor a few years ago and lost, bigly so hopefully another MAGA would also lose. I think a democratic socialist might not do well statewide. But that’s my opinion, not based on a real fact.
