A 30X60 window would have about 18 linear feet of sash frame $ 12.5 square feet of glazing (clear part). Ballistic glass (bullet resistant) weighing 30#/ sqft=375# Add in the weight if the sash (also needing to be bullet resistant) at, say, 5#/ foot=90#. That’s almost 500#. 600 isn’t crazy.

If it's using the most modern tech that we've had for the last ten years of translucent aluminum, they would be bullet proof up to a medium rifle without being any heavier than storm rated double pain glass. Also there's constant sniper watch on the roof. Opening windows is fine.
