This morning in East Somerville, MA masked agents who told bystanders they were from Homeland Security abducted a man who lives in the neighborhood while he was on his way to do laundry. Video shared directly with me of the moments after he was detained and put in an unmarked vehicle:

Thank you for bringing more attention to this. It is frightening how this happens in even the most mundane, suburban looking settings in blue states and the press isn't mentioning it at all. It's also rich, him calling the woman "stupid." I can speak with confidence that THEY are the stupid ones.

there has been such a huge uptick in that here in the last week or so (and of course it's generally in East Somerville, which is where a lot of our Latinx immigrant population lives). it's awful.
I haven't lived in that neighborhood for 20+ years now, but this still upsets me. I loved living in a neighborhood with such a heavy immigrant presence.
