They're syetems of population manipulation and control. Without indoctrination, religion would cease to exist in about 2 generations, and it wouldn't come back.

Maybe, but maybe not. There are still tribes of people who have no contact with the outside world and we know little about them. Do they have faith in a diety? If so, we're not likely to reach them easily, but who knows? No religion would be an actual blessing 😉
