I will never vote for Jolley under any circumstances. Not in a primary or ever. That party hopper is NOT to be trusted. He's been a Dem for 5 minutes. Before that, he was part of the wacko Forward Party and he was a Republican forever before that.

People said the same about Crist so we got DeSantis. That turned out well, huh? Jolly is a contender exactly because he's a former R and therefore more palatable to some R voters. I'm a single issue voter - vote for anyone who isn't a MAGA Republican.

Thanks, came here to say the same. And we’ve got to get the nut jobs voted out at the local level too. Some of us are old enough to remember living in a blue Florida. 🌊

I'm a registered Democrat because of the primary structure in FL. I'm a pragmatic progressive. And I have never voted for a Republican in my lifetime and never will. We can't afford to elect just anyone claiming to be a Democrat because most aren't. I won't allow us to be Sinema'd by Jolley.

We'll see how the field plays out. But right now Jolly is the strongest contender in the Dem field. He's a vocal critic of Trump. That puts him far ahead of any Republican running for Gov even if he turns out to be Republican-lite. What we really can't afford is to elect another Trump sycophant.

We can't afford to elect someone who might be Republican-Lite. And the Republicans won't vote for anyone anti-TFG.

Florida is truly fucked until we take back Tally. Maps are too gerrymandered at the behest of the national parties which has zero connection to the needs of the non-land-grabbing Floridian.

Florida is a GOP-occupied state due to 20+ years of GOP gerrymandering and voter suppression.

Yeah, and the leaders of our team didn't notice or couldn't defend against it. P.S. Fuck Jolly. I'm already preparing for the pain of one or two terms of Byron if a real Dem doesn't stand up.

It's nearly impossible to outvote and out-organize that. That's why we haven't been able to flip it back yet. And the Rs are too racist to vote for Byron.

I Miss the days of Bob Graham as Governor, he was one of the best Governors that served Florida. But if it comes down to voting for Byron, DeSantis wife or Jolly, I will vote for Jolly. We can't have Byron or DeSantis running this state.

If I am forced to vote for Jolley I will. I know what's at stake. But only if I have no other option. Which is why primaries matter so much.

I voted for a Republican once. Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, who saved the Pantry Cafe, where no one was refused food even if they could not pay. He served two terms and was actually a very effective Mayor.

Most Republicans used to hold conservative policy views but were reasonable people. They weren't always foaming-at-the-mouth radicals that we have today.

True some like Riordan, were actually fiscal conservatives and social liberals. But those days are gone.

Conservativism in all its forms harms everyone and is antithetical to all progress. And the GOP has lied about their 'conservativism' being good. 10 of the 11 recessions from 1953-2020 were under Republican Presidents. They've been the least fiscally responsible party for over 70 years.

They have spent nearly 50 years running psyops on the base to get us exactly here. And the HF had a version of P2025 for Reagan who adopted over 60% of it in his first year and liked it so much he had it bound and given to his Cabinet. The GOP is trash and always has been.

I have voted for Republicans when there was no one else running. Like for County Elections Supervisor last year. There were only 2 Republicans to choose from. I've never willingly voted for a Republican. Only been forced to choose between them.

Nikki Fried was the GOP apologist pretending to be a Dem who lied about Christ in her campaign and is the reason he likely didn't win. She should have stayed the fuck out of the race.

Christ was my District Rep and I voted for him many times. His record was solid. He was a co-sponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act. And Christ was kicked out of the Republican party for publicly supporting the ACA. There's no comparison.
