No, quite the opposite. The despicable nature of the trump regime raises my “fight or flight” instincts in a positive way. I choose to fight because I cannot with good conscience ignore what is happening to our country, our world, and its people. I fight for those who can’t because I can.

I'm so glad you are fighting!! Besides, "fight or flight" there is also the "freeze" instinct that is very real. Those of us who experienced trauma as children & didn't not have a choice of fight or flight were taught to freeze. It does feel good to call our reps in congress & attend protests.

I don’t see any scenario that would keep me from voting. I have, and will continue to, vote in every single election. Including my park district and forest preserve elections. Me withdrawing from society will never stop me from voting.

Good, so you are not withdrawing from society. It's horrendous what is happening in our society today, it is tough to watch. Being informed enough to make a rational decision on who we elect to positions of trust in our government is not withdrawing from society, at least that is how I look at it.
