If I'm not seeing you for treatment, stay the fuck out of it.

You are sorely misunderstanding our role. Ok. I won’t say anything then if I see a fatal drug-drug interaction for you. And I have seen that plenty of times.
Aaah, but what about Mr. Gower? 😉
Bad seeds in every profession, even fictional bad seeds😉. The law profession has let us down big time right now. One could argue, more significantly than any pharmacist could at this point.
Agreed. I love my pharmacist. I's just givin ya a hard time.
I know. Thanks for the 💕
My dad was a pharmacist and you're correct, watching out for harmful drug interactions is a very important requirement for their job. Some people are just ignorant. 😉
Good for you! Lucky you had a Dad with needed position. Prescribing meds is one thing, checking that combined with other drugs you take that the Doctor may not know, is the Pharmacist duty!!!
Pharmacist: “if I don’t have the power to overrule your doctor then you might die, I am here to save your life!” Skeptic: “I’m skeptical” Pharmacist: “ok I’m going to make sure you die”
Especially from arrogant attorneys who think they understand my role and have it completely wrong.
No, I just don’t take kindly to insults.
Good. Unless I ask for your opinion, stay out of it. I have plenty of doctors for my health care needs.
Where you profession failed to protect society, I succeeded. So maybe you should just sit this one out. The world doesn’t need another attorney pretending to understand medicine, RFK lite.
Lol! Okay, sure!
There is a physician in my state who was sued by a patient’s family for overprescribing Oxycontin, resulting in the patient’s death. He got off and continued to prescribe that way until I turned him into the Medical board for something even more egregious. He lost his license.
You misunderstand. They don’t wait for a patient to “ask for an opinion” if your doctor prescribes medications that will harm you or interact dangerously with other meds you take. It’s their job to intervene. That’s why they are there. Anyone can count out your pills. They are the experts.
That's different than what the original post was that started this.
Clownspeak
An attorney. One could argue that perhaps she should focus on fixing her profession before bashing another. Seems the legal profession has let us down pretty big right now. Appreciate the good ones, but clearly some work to do.
As the husband of a pediatrician and the father of two surgeons, they all recognize pharmacists have a role to play...separate from doctors. No lawyers in my family. No one is that much of an underachievier...
I actually have worked in a doctor’s office for 21 years, helping with medically complex patients (not in a pharmacy). A multi-disciplinary team actually helps- both patients and doctors. Physicians have A LOT on their plate.
