Why is this happening? Did blusky add or update again ?

Have you tries to erase your cache and see if that helps?

It keeps coming and going - being blank then it’ll show them sometimes/ will try to restart

On my phone, I regularly go to Settings, then Memory, then Apps, then scroll down to BlueSky, click on it, then Delete Cache. Otherwise my BlueSky app starts getting slow and I have seen.
