I think that probably only an economic collapse can save us and it is definitely possible that Trump will avoid one until it is too late. Even if Trump disappeared tomorrow, he has crammed the US government exclusively with evil people.

The deal was always, "I will let you use the N word and be mean to trans people and all I want in exchange is that you give up on democracy." That was obvious. America bought it. Democracy was not stolen; it was traded by people who just wanted the right to be nasty to others, or simply didn't care.
