a lot of it also gets dropped into gaylords and sold by blind bid lots (like storage units do with abandoned units) which then go to retail bin stores
Depending upon where you are located; all locations do not follow any standard protocol relative to dumping of returned merch According to what I read, there's no standard company-wide protocol as to where it ends up Usually easiest & cheapest method possible according to facility manager decision🙄

There are also indie entities which buy bulk lots of returned larger ticket & bulky/heavy items from Amazon & other major merchant chains & resell Usually Local (so it can be picked up by both the reseller & their purchaser) & Not Online

This is awful. I'm so glad that we cut the Amazon cord six months ago. We've replaced it with a variety of other stores.

My wife tried to return three items last month and was given a refund on each but was told she did not have to return said items. As they were only a wrong size, she donated the NEW clothing to a local homeless shelter.
