If the party were a car manufacturer and the precinct captains were their salespersons at the local level and manufacturer couldn't figure out why sales were declining so rather than ask the salespersons at the local level they go consultants who don't buy or sell their stuff to locals.
Why do you have the structure of precinct captains, county chairs, state chairs and whatever the hell else? It doesn't get out the vote. Aren't the precinct captains supposed to be the eyes and ears at the local level and provide feedback? Are they doing that function or is anyone asking?
The party has work to do. They need local grass roots structure. BADLY. What Democrats are going to step out at local levels and contest seats everywhere when they don't see or feel like there's any infrastructure for them to step into? A chicken makes a nest to lay an egg before one can grow & run.
The DNC is broke. They need money to organize and people aren't donating. All of the money is on the Republican side.
