i am being "politely" urged to play all grateful dead at the record store tonight because apparently jerry garcia died 30 years ago today a few songs, sure, but i was never into them i'm so sorry

there’s a lot of left-field jerry stuff out there even if you’re not a Dead fan i’ve been hooked on So What, the jazz album he did with mandolinist david grisman
Play some pigpen era tunes. Turn on Your Lovelight, Good Morning Little Schoolgirl, Hard to Handle etc. Those might be more up your alley than the classic noodly dead that scores of cover bands continue to imitate.
I'm surprised you're not a Box of Rain person
truckin, touch of grey, sugar magnolia is about as deep as i could ever make myself go
just put on a couple of their live shows and let it ride
...it's the live stuff i like least, again i am sorry not a jam band enjoyer
oh i’m not a phish fan, but the live shows are the only way i can listen to them haha. it just turns into background
i really like the studio version of guyute and that's about how much i am into phish after many years of trying they're all better musicians than i am but not my cup of tea
oh i totally get it i dont ever listen to them but have two friends who are big into grateful dead and phish, so i’ve… had to listen to them before like being forced to eat rabbit shit or dog shit one’s worse, but you’re still eating shit
Bro play New Riders of The Purple Sage. Jerry plays pedal steel on the album so it counts.
Play Box of Rain. Actually just play the songs Jerry didn't sing lead on.
I think I like Touch of Grey and... that's it? Just weren't for me either.
Please no pushback when you have to play Prince all day on the 10 year in April
I will mail you the dollar I found to not play anything with Jerry Garcia on it.
6 months ago while walking my dog I grabbed a dollar sticking out of a snowbank. I've carried it with me since wondering what it was for, but now I know. Thank you.
