Need !important tag, like CSS, for posts and labels that have been manually tagged/flagged. This will ensure that manually reviewed tag from 2,3 or 6th tier label gets precedence over all lower ranked tiers that are auto labelled (or tagged my ML).
Please be careful with not to expose your human moderators to horrific content, perhaps give them a way to look without disturbing them? Eg gradually reveal parts of images, or isolate the questionable parts taking them out of context !! Thanks so much for having a wholesome place here😇😇

Thank you for letting us know this is being worked on! I do a lot of furry art and it keeps getting flagged. Here's one I flag as nudity (which it is), but it was being reported as porn (which it's not). Let's see if it works!

It says ‘sexually suggestive’, which doesn’t feel inaccurate.
It says "sexually suggestive (cartoon)," which feels even less inaccurate.
It changed from earlier, which is interesting, at least. Guess they're still working on things.
It's weird because I have actual porn turned on so I see real and cartoon tits no problem but I have to click through to see sexually suggestive cartoons and there's no obvious way to turn that off.
Why would this have a warning for me? The only setting I have set to warn is for explicit or potentially disturbing material. It shouldn’t fall under that.
Ah I bet it's cuz "explicit" under graphic images means sexually explicit. It's so fucked that sexual images are categorized with violent or disturbing images. Have one filter for sex and a whole ass other for violence sheesh.
I don’t get it. Sexually explicit is a whole other setting. Me confuse. I don’t want to see violent stuff. I thought my settings as they are covered that. But whatever the case, the warning shown doesn’t match the settings descriptions. Seems like basic stuff is broken.

Exactly, that's the annoyance I and a lot of artists are running into. I self-labeled it nudity, which is accurate, but Bluesky's system overrode me and labeled it pornographic, which it's plainly not. I'm glad they're aware of and working on the problem, but their fix doesn't look like it worked.
2/4 🎨 We've made some improvements to our image labeling system on Friday. The latest changes should reduce the number of false positives for adult content labels, particularly on furry art and cartoon images. Let us know if you notice a difference!
This incorrect automated label is still up, @safety.bsky.app. You can't claim that you're opening the floodgates on some types of art and then randomly applying it to others. (To say nothing of improving on mutes/opt-outs for certain types of content.) Would you kindly fix your mod software/teams.

I've been reporting anime CSAM images lately and the images and accounts are still there. Is some CSAM allowed here? If not do you have any system to identify that? Maybe higher priority than labeling every image of a person with breasts as pornography

the auto labeler should be a fallback for labeling by the poster, not a replacement for it. I've seen a ton of images that were erroneously upgraded to "pornography" which makes that tag useless

My biggest issue is that totally non sexualized full frontal nudity seems to be consistently flagged as "porn" rather than "nudity." This is unideal for nudists etc
It's not fit for purpose yet. Nudity is not inherently sexual or suggestive, and I get personally offended every time you flag a naturist image or one where nudity is incidental as sexual.
It's probably a computer program taking the first stab at labeling, so I think it's a waste of time and emotion getting offended. Appeal early, appeal often! If it's a not so intelligent AI, it will eventually learn to get it right.

The human moderators have been rather puritan and their own bias shows through. The auto labels have been sexist. I know furries earned their reputation, but it's been extra strict against those of us that draw it, even if G or PG rated. Yet again where the human mods bias shows through.
Women's Art1 has been stolen. The account was TARGETED to be stolen & was. By bullying accounts. So what are you going to do? Anything?

a label should indicate if it was applied automatically or if there was human intervention. it is easier to justify appealing a questionable label if you know no human has looked at it yet

As an NSFW artist I can surely say they are correct. However, I feel bad for the person handling these labels and have to go through all my sick stuff :P Can't we help with adding labels ourselves during upload? (or can we already, i just cant find it?)

I am BEGGING you for a way to block or just mute furry art and cartoons from my feed. I wish for them all to prosper in their own milieu but this would have a huge impact on usability for this app (for me).
I'm actually considering uninstalling if bluesky thought the problem was "not enough furry art makes it to discovery" There is too much. I have nothing against them, I want them to find their own, but if I have to see two fat dog men making out every time I open this app I'm not gonna use it.

How about having human moderators check the AI labels before they go into effect, until the AI is properly trained. It's still classifying any nudity as pornography, even if it's completely innocent nudity.
I'm hoping that "Skinemax" level nudity will wind up on the side of (vaguely) artistic, not "pornography." I don't have any issue with porn (and occasionally photograph some), but the guidelines are vague. I did notice almost instant response to my appeals.

That's been removed from almost everything in app, and currently the only reference is in an appeal flow that should be fixed near-term.

Just click/tap the gray label and write down, what's wrong with the classification and send it. Somebody will take a look at it. I've just made a test and it was corrected within a couple of minutes.
Do they correct "higher" or "lower" filtering or both, do you know? I'd be concerned that reporting something that was tagged "mature" (and wasn't) would get *penalized* by reporting that it was mistagged as adult when it was R or PG or G. (Other sites have trained me to this paranoia.)
If it’s wrong we do our best to correct it Beth. I think I understand your concern, but unless you are sending in a massive volume of appeals (some do!) I wouldn’t be concerned on filing appeals and getting a penalty? It’s also how we get signal to tweak image processing.
I'm worried that "this isn't mature, it's PG at worst" corrections would mess with the person who posted! (Like sending typo alerts to Amazon will get self-pub works suspended.) If there's no penalty to "correct down" in moderation terms, that's good to know.
Example of what I am paranoid about: Person A: •posts a picture of looking cute• Bluesky Automated filtering: •labels picture Adult Content• Me: •reports as not adult content• Bluesky: •locks person A's account for misrepresenting their posts• Me: NO! NOT LIKE THAT!
We don’t assume the image labelling is perfect. It’s a decent signal to lower the load on moderators and on users. If we applied manual labels, people would see a wave of adult content and then the onus is on the user to report, increasing harms.
