Ok so why attack a list of people protecting creeps?
Full match or domain block? Last one could cause DDoS like effect, first one easier to evade.
how about you fuckin get rid of the rude label no one fucking likes and do your fuckin job
And yet still you allow reported abusive DMs to face no accountability.
Way to go!!! Yes, we need an edit button. Thank you!!

@greenglider.bsky.social Where have my replies been posted? Do I have any right to privacy? I still can’t understand how I came to be in this situation. I’m sorry, I am exhausted and have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I need to leave this conversation and try to get some sleep

What to do to get off misinformation list?
Hi @safety.bsky.app - just checking in again. Why did you delist @marzgurl.com's block list that many in the anime industry use to filter harassers? Why are you ignoring the literal HUNDREDS at this point who've told you this is important and a good use of the composable moderation you touted?
Not a bad feature. Now when are we gonna get - ability to turn off reposts for individual users - the same keyboard shortcuts as Twitter - the ability to remove yourself from someone's list by simply blocking them - bookmarks
You get more than you pay for with Bluesky already.
You won't ever be able to remove yourself from someone else's list. That's not how Bluesky works on a technical level. Bluesky was built to be billionaire-proof. If a billionaire were to buy the server hosting your account, you can move your account elsewhere. You own and control your own data [1/4]
📌
This means that Bluesky does NOT own/control your data. When you make a post on your profile, there's tech that says "this is really this person and ONLY they can post to this account". If you own the server your profile is on (and you can!), then literally nobody else can touch that data [2/4]
What does this have to do with lists? Well, when someone makes a list, they host it on their profile, which can be hosted on their server. They are the only ones who can modify their profile. You don't have their keys and can't change their list; it's their data and not yours [3/4]
This is also why you can't remove someone who is following you - folks following you are basically adding you to a "follow" list (oversimplified). However, you CAN say "I refuse to give my data to this person", which is what blocking does. It's why there's a nuclear block [4/4]
Nuclear block? Can you explain what that means?
Every interaction you have with someone you block is removed for EVERYONE, not just you. So if you were to block me, both your comment and this comment I'm writing right now would disappear for everyone who reads this thread
oh damn i didn't know it was that big
Ty! Ohhh so one blocks for all? No one can every see that poster again? is that with every block? And, is Mute so they can’t answer ME anymore or mention me rtc? Or just pulls us out of conflict on one thread? ( btw thanks for help) i do notice you don’t learn about reporting.
* ever see that poster In That thread, but still elsewhere!
Yeah, if you block someone who replied to you, their reply is deleted from the thread. Mutes just hide the post for you but not anyone else. The person can also still see your account and reply to you, it's just their replies/posts are hidden for you and you only
If you were to block me (please don't!) then anyone looking at *this* post wouldn't be able to see your post that I'm replying to (or anything else upthread) – it would just say "Message blocked" or something similar above it – and anyone looking at *your* post would not be able to see my reply.
So if I see “ blocked” it means I was blocked? Or the post I went to read?
I left xitter the day he walked in holding a sink. I occasionally got notices to that ( now defunct) email reminding me to reactivate my accnt? I tried to delete user names etc. . Dunno status bc I’d have to sign in again to find out. Mmnothanks 🙄🙄
📌 Thanks! That's a way easier explanation on the differences between Bsky and Twitter than I was ever able to do. I might link here from time to time, if that's ok. :)
🔖 (list, block)
it works in a browser as well?
I'm gonna piggyback off this since most recent. Is there the ability or plan to eventually remove "list" data from an account that's been banned? There are people that make burner accounts for the sole purpose of harassing users knowing the account will get banned but the mark on targets stays.
It's meaningless in the grand scheme of things but frankly annoying when you get pulled into someone else's internet fight without even realizing it. It appears labelers get scrubbed but not lists, so there's at least some mechanism there.
Cool, thank you! Can you PLEASE add an edit option? And is there any way you can keep people/bots who love to add us to those super annoying or hateful groups/lists off of Bluesky?
Good!
#RePostControl
Cool. Now how about you protect user safety by removing actual nazis from the platform instead of verifying them?
Thank you. I know you’re working hard. Growth is a good problem, but still hard to keep up with!
Thank you. Please consider an edit feature for posts.
Sure does not seem like safety is a concern when valid blocklists are hidden, for a second time.
