I've had a really strong prescription my entire life and I like to order from online shops, no designer frames, much cheaper. That said, your first pair of varifocals are a fiddly enough business it's likely worthwhile to get them from a brick and mortar in case you need adjustments to the Rx

Thanks Katy. I have got a pair of varifocals, but these were from 2017, and tbh, I haven't been using them much. Now the prescription has considerably changed, I'm thinking one of the online shops may provide better value? Early indications are that 'Glasses Direct' come highly recommended 🤔👍

Yeah just check the trust pilot reviews before you buy and the return policies. The only big thing you don't get from buying online is the optical shop person doing final adjustments on nosepads (if any) and the curvature for the ear. But at massive savings

Well I've just taken a leap of faith and ordered from Glasses Direct. Thanks again, Katy 👍

Haha, ta.😄👍 Tbh, my distance vision is only marginally weak, so there is a school of thought that I could have got away with just reading glasses for very close work, but it's done now, so onwards! 😃👓
