Not to brag, but I am on a streak of three good library books in a row. The first was "Nightwatching," by Tracy Sierra. So suspenseful I had to reach across the aisle of the plane a couple times to grab my husband's arm and hiss "this book is so scary!"

Yay! Congratulations--as you know, it doesn't always happen that way.

The second was "The Fox Wife," by Yangsze Choo, a noir folktale/detective novel set in northern China in the early 1900s. The book has two protagonists, the fox wife and the detective, whose stories run parallel to each other for a long time and then ultimately intersect in a very satisfying way.

And the third was "Hard by a Great Forest," by (and about) a refugee of the Georgian civil war. Leo Vardiashvili mixes a blunt, funny writing style with a haunted fairytale-mystery plot. #BookSky #LibraryHaul
