I’ve been watching a bluegrass show on PBS called Song of the Mountains. Not a big fan of the genre but if something catches my ear, I’ll tune in. One such group is a family band called Williamson Branch. Their female bassist is very animated. They’re a religious band where the girls married young.
In any case, I went on YouTube to see some videos of Williamson Branch to gauge where on the religious spectrum they fall. Needless to say, there’s some where they’re performing in front of a “God, Guns & Tr*mp” banner. And they have a song called “If God Doesn’t Bless America”. That’s a hard pass.
Just goes to show that not all Public Television programming is geared towards left-leaning progressive people or so Tr*mp & his Republican minions claim. Not when there are shows like Song of the Mountains from Virginia. Yet that’s not stopping this hateful administration from defunding PBS & NPR.
