So, no problem right? We'd get a roommate by then. Except the economy sucks and we didn't get anyone interested until mid-august. But we got someone! Hours were cut hard at work, a couple 10 and 14 hour weeks, but I had an acting gig lined up and Sharq Week could help out with that.
But it took up until now to get communication from the building management, and the potential roommate threatened to pull out. And there was no way I'd be able to have an extra $1300 ontop of everything else I needed, so I went into a focused panic.
First, I needed to make sure I had a chance to cover expenses. So I reposted my Ko-Fi request, listed my Animal Crossing Switch and guitar on Marketplace, and put my Special Delivery Pikachu up for auction until the end of the month. If I could sell them all for asking price, I'd be golden.
Next, I spent the morning and afternoon talking with the roomie and building management to try and find a way to get this done today. Normally they've been amazing to us, so this was an outlier. I just got an email at 3pm saying that we were approved and the new lease was being prepped to sign.
I was able to scrape my way to 28 hours this week at work (if I get called in tonight, at least. Otherwise it's 21.) but I won't see that until September 12th. My acting gig paid $168 though! I'm not prepared to relax yet in case something falls through, but I'm in a better position than earlier!
Once the lease is signed, I'll adjust the goal on Ko-Fi to reflect what I'll need to get through the month. I can worry about taking a break when things aren't as bonkers. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart. And look forward to Andy playing Hitman for tonight's stream if I'm at work!
