It felt more like he hadn’t considered his position fully and when he was presented with a counterfactual, he tried to integrate it into the narrative. Unless you’re a very good debater, it’s hard to do without coming off like someone who doesn’t actually have a well-reasoned position. 🤷🏻

Worse than that, I think. He's a crank and a quack. So not only are you getting the over confidence and reliance on a rigid ideological belief set, but you are also getting a true believer in mind over matter medicine, ie magic. And that acts as a host for all manner of unpleasant stuff.
