It's why I often bring up how the anti-trans culture war repackaged the "gay agenda" from 20 years ago. Centrists generally claim they support gay rights but many don't notice how MAGAs reuse anti-gay attacks against trans people.

That's an excellent point. Centrists probably try to ignore that because their political heros spent that time triangulating and siding with the right, DOMA, etc.
