There are a lot of things to lay at Newsom's feet, but the idea, based on one poorly thought out comment, that Newsom "want[s] to harm" trans ppl is ludicrous & completely ignores the things done to protect trans, & other LGBTQ+ ppl - including kids.

We aren’t bemoaning the perfect candidate. We are saying there’s better options while we still have the ability to choose. At the end of it all I’ll vote blue no matter who, but unlike what the media insists, we have options.
I appreciate his efforts and have said as such multiple times. I’m also not going to let the media glaze him and overlook that he would be a horrible leader. Two things can be true at once.

Newsom is so unpopular to Californians that he almost got recalled. The only reason he didn't is because the Republican against him was incredibly incompetent.
