Seriously, If they want to reach normal people about issues they care about, they should try acting like they didn’t forget to take their mood stabilizers.

I’ve met some of them in real life (I live in Seattle) I mean,there are real reasons to be annoyed with Newsom:burner phones to tech bros, him siding with Elon Musk on H1B visas, vetoing an AI safety bill. Personally, as somebody with small kids in a big city, I’m not pro-free-open use-encampments.

But you can’t even have civil conversations about this. There’s no room for nuance. Look at the language they use “he hates the homeless” “he want to kill them.” Their thinking is binary; you either repeat the unalloyed dogma or you’re a force for evil masking as righteous.
