Sorry, but you are trying to simplify an extremely complicated mess. Americans pay more for their health than most other developed nations and have poorer health statistics. Healthcare is not universal in USA.

I’m not simplifying it. It *is* simple: those working already pay for their healthcare. Those who aren’t working don’t, and most of the reasons they’re not working tend to be healthcare related. Unless you set up the system to exclude the very people not currently covered, the math won’t work.
