Postman delivered a condolences card from our vet practice today. Hand written with lovely words from both the head vet and the vet who has looked after both our cats since they were 8 weeks old (over 19 years). I've not read it fully yet as it made me cry. So lovely of them. 😢

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sounds like you have a wonderful vet. Sadly, I've been there many times. I'll never forget the vet who sat and cried with me while saying goodbye to my sweet chow mix, Samantha. She was 15.

I had to put my dog to sleep during Covid, it was horrendously hard and around a week later I was sent a card from the vet. It certainly gave me some comfort.
I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm so glad you received some comfort.
Our vet and nurses have done this for all of our past cats. Some are embedded with flower seeds to plant and some have had a stamp of the paw. It’s very touching. Also makes me cry.
Yes, we got some wildflowers seeds, I've scattered them on his grave.
Sorry for your loss. It hurts deeply. Our vets have done this for 3 of our dogs, my mom’s dog, and our cat! It speaks volumes about their profession. They mourn the loss of our pets too as they try everything to keep them healthy and at peace.
