I have the same thought every time they talk about taking away the phones... how will they call for help? That's always the first call out... mommy come get me they're shooting at us!!! The adults chase the shooter, coral the kids... they're busy!!

I believe that in order to own a gun there should be extensive background checks. To own more than 1 gun you should have to be evaluated psychologically and prove safety in place in your home. As well as show who in the hone that the guns reside. You should also have to have insurance. And take test

To be fair, I didn't need a phone with internet and apps to call my parents, text them, or call 911. They can have an old school phone to take to school and for safety. And a smartphone that does not get taken out until after school. And no one needs an assault rifle to hunt or protect themselves

Even a pager would do but I'm just saying they have to have a device to contact the outside world. Not sure MOST of us need smart phones but, once you have it it's hard to give up. (can't remember phone numbers, would never have photos of half the things I do now, internet at my finger tips!!!)
