Trump thinks he's infallible and invincible, and he's out there doing some truly marvelous experiments to ultimately falsify this.

You may have noted he is in the process of chickening out of the Invasion of Chicago as we speak. Sometimes he KNOWS when he’s in over his head. We’ll see what happens here!

I did note that. I’m not saying that Trump is not accountable to reality, I’m saying that “reality” is very shaped by elites that are every day making it more clear they’re on board with the program. What you guys are saying requires a strong external check that is harder to envision by the day

If elites had the power to simply imagine good economic conditions into being, they'd do it more often. But at some point, consumers are going to start biting it.

Yeah I mean WE’RE the check lol. And pretty sure we’re all “elites” here too, by the going definition. (Bachelor’s degree hell yeah.)

But yeah once the guy’s approval gets much lower in the thirties, people even more elite than us here will begin getting cold feet.

I mean elites in Krugman’s “masters of the universe” sense. Anyway, we’re at an impasse here. We’ll see and I’ll be more than glad to get owned by you guys on this.
