I actually think it’s good for Democrats to call attention to the fact that Trump wants to remove people of color from positions of power and re-segregate society. That’s easier to explain than the impact removing Cook might have on Americans’ bank accounts, which is currently unclear.
I think tRump wants to get rid of her mostly because she's been opposed to rate cuts & has proven herself unlikely to cave to his pressures to control the Fed. That said, I think his regime gives themselves bonus points when they can get rid of someone they consider DEI (PoCs, women, LGBTQIA2S).

Yeah…I don’t get why anyone would have a fit about this statement. I’m neutral on Jeffries, mind you. But that response is nitpicky.
Yeah, like, Jeffries isn't being as explicit as I would about it, but calling attention to Cook's race is another way to say that Trump is creating a world where any nonwhite person in a position of power and authority is viewed with suspicion.
