“We asked ourselves about the impact the bogeyman we invented has on our mental health and it’s the most comprehensive report on the impact of the bogeyman we invented.”

My favourite quote - "Your mental illness is not your fault - but it is your responsibility." (Marcus Parks).
I mean, I assume these survey respondents are lying. But if they're genuinely so unwell that they perceive the existence of other people as 'harm', they (or the people around them) have a responsibility to seek treatment.
What the fuck is wrong with these people? So fragile. So weak. You could probably scratch deeper too and find that the majority of these crits are also racist pieces of sh!t.
Also an *international* survey and they got less than 3000 responses? The 2018 Counting Ourselves survey had more than 2600 trans and nb respondents from just New Zealand.
Not surprising they got so few, given their methodology. witsurveyreport.org/methodology/
Trans people *exist* Terfs *shrivel up in the corner, shrieking* Also.. why do these groups always have shit names? I suppose they’ve made so many sockpuppets they’re running out of ideas by now.
Is it evidence of patriarchy and trans people’s unfair privilege that this person had difficulty getting enough people who already identified with their transphobia to follow a link to a web survey? This isn’t how scientific polling works, anyway.
Trans people existing definitely impacts my mental health. A trans man showed me I wasn't too disgusting for anybody to love, a trans woman saved my life and then some years later a different trans woman picked me up from an emergency hospital admission and gave me somewhere safe to live.
I mean... trans people existing DOES affect my mental health. In a positive way. The complex fabric of human experience is far too nuanced to be limited by binary thinking. Their mere existence confirms the multitude of expressions for lived experiences
You know what really impacts mental health? Bigoted pieces of shit targeting a minority group just for existing, and then shrugging when abusive and misogynistic cis men take over their "movement"
It must be nice to have so few worries that you can dedicate your life to this shit.
what. is. this. (rhetorical) they are begging to be mocked Terfy Woman Is This = TWIT
They keep on about this gender ideology, something they made up to justify their bigotry & hate. It does not exist, not a thing or a belief, a state of mind or 'ideology' outside of their own tiny uneducated little minds. The only ideology at play here is the fascist/religious/bigot one they have.
I’m sure the ex wife’s one of the names on there.
3,000 survey responses self-selected from transphobes is nothing? i really thought they could muster a bigger response than that
Tl;Dr for anyone who cares: “We decided to openly be bigots and it had a big negative impact on our work, our personal relationship, and the services we access. But instead of stopping being a bigot and getting help, we decided to be big sad about it”
Meanwhile, all we are doing is having the temerity to exist. What about THEIR impact on OUR lives?
What a strange survey to conduct. I'm guessing White Supremacists mental health is also affected by non-white people existing.
WIT seems dim to begin with.
"Woman is This"? i think they're running out of names for their pressure groups.
Woman is This [the best you could think of as a name for your weirdass hate club]
Took me a good few moments to comprehend that name, just couldn't quite process it
It’s like if Yoda tried to write a Helen Reddy song.
I'm impressed they held off on incorporating H and E into their acronym.
This response is solely due to the self-importance of bigots and reactionaries seeing studies about suicide rates for trans people making the news and having to make it about themselves somehow. "Well I'm not doing great either because of you actually!" It's sick bullying of the socially vulnerable.
I read a social media post about some guy who had a trans guy as a friend. The poster described them finding out as if they just learned this trans man was actually a grizzly bear in a human suit. These are deranged lunatics and they've decided to make that our problem.
Straight cisgender woman from Iraq here. Some women don't know what real oppression is and it shows.
“We asked almost 3000 transphobic bigots how they felt about trans people existing and the result was they didn’t like trans people existing.” Colour me shocked.🙄
Let me guess: they did a self-selecting survey of people who visit their website?
As a woman and a feminist, I'm so fucking embarrassed by these women appropriating progressive language and labels, hoping to fool everyone else. So cringe
