I’m not bothered by that, you can disagree with any part of what I said, I’m not defending the police and their hurtful actions. I’m just saying let’s be respectful of those that lost their lives because of senseless violence.

Agree. There is nothing wrong with visiting the families of every victim of crime and violence. There is also nothing disrespectful about asking Mamdani to hew to the principles that have gotten him this far. We don’t need to lionize the NYPD for a moment to extend community to a grieving family.
