Agree. Trump’s the cudgel for them to break our government. That said, no one in this administration has Trump’s charisma to carry the maga cult with them. So I’m not sure it will be as smooth going for Vance et al.

I used to think Vance was more dangerous because he is smarter but MAGA doesn’t really like him. If it’s true that GOP congressmen vote with Trump because they are afraid of their voters, then perhaps they’ll feel freer to oppose Vance.

Exactly. Vance is not popular at all and this could provide the fissures needed for those congressmen to break away. That’s the hope anyway.

I’m afraid they’ll still be afraid to break from the Heritage Foundation, Thiel and other oligarchs. There is so much control beyond dft.
