We were in Afghanistan in the 1980’s. We had no reason to bomb them . But the withdrawal was not handled well. Many administrations are to blame
I remember 2001 and before, the first Taliban government. It was horrible, especially for women and children. The coalition occupation was by no means perfect, but it was better than the nightmare they have now. Obama stayed, Trump sold them out, Biden chickened out.
It was Taliban then , it is Taliban now. What did we accomplish with all those bombs ?
That’s the point. The US kept them out for 20 years!
No, we 🇺🇸 spent 20 years destroying their country so the Taliban looked better than the constant bombing and death. And with the wealthy and educated fleeing the war , Afghanistan is left with the poorest and least educated trying to survive

@Over the 20-year U.S. presence in Afghanistan, critics argue that military actions, including bombing, contributed to a Taliban resurgence. Civilian casualties, damage from airstrikes, and the empowerment of abusive militias turned local populations against the U.S. and its allies. «
Our 20 year bombing campaign only created a brain drain in Afghanistan. Stop trying to justify what we did
At. What. Cost. ???
