I have never understood the whole “I don’t know how I can be the man in this relationship” thing. It has never even for a second crossed my mind in relationships. Then again, most people never give me a cursory thought as a romantic partner, so maybe I’m on the wrong for not thinking about it.

One part of this hit me hard. My parents were also married for 65 years (Dad died 3 months before that anniversary so close enough). They were together for 70 years. And here I sit wondering why I've been alone for 12 years. So thanks for this.
