It won't bring down prices. US companies moved to Asia for cheaper labour and higher profits. Move it back to the US with higher labour costs and maintaining profit levels and your prices just went up more. If you're lucky, the higher production costs will be offset by nixed tariffs, but no savings.

I’m well aware, although someone said the other day that if manufacturing does come back it will largely be robots and AI so no jobs created but possibly the prices won’t be sky high paying American labor. I think the whole thing is crazy. No way we can build enough manuf to make everything here.
