@raincitycor.bsky.social 2023, a downburst hit our house/the area around us and power was out for...three or four days? (Generator didn't work.) Last year, a thunderstorm went through and was stronger than I thought. (I wasn't home at the time.)

My dad's cataracts were so bad that he couldn't see to plug the cord in and it wasn't marked so I could put it in right. My dad went home to meet my uncle, who put it in straight, but I was in the middle of playing Mexican Train Dominoes with my mom and her friends.

By the time we finished, the main power had been restored, so it was perfect. (Except for packing up and unpacking at home. LOL)
