It's fun because there are some games where I LOVE the stealth (Hitman of course being the GOAT, but I really enjoy stealth in Deathloop too) but then other games that recommend stealth but... don't do it well at all... like Cyberpunk or Starfield (I do like Starfield otherwise) just kinda detract
I don’t mess with stealth in Bethesda games. They don’t give you rewards and at a certain point you’re so powerful that it’s a waste of time. Cyberpunk is a weird one. Stealth via hacks is a lot of fun. Stealth without hacks is not well designed. I hack until I need to shoot.
that's interesting admittedly the only Bethesda game I've actually played long enough to finish was Starfield (obviously not including Bethesda owned but not developed games like Deathloop/Dishonored/whatever) but I always hear that stealth archer is always best in elder scrolls lol
Personally, I found stealth archer tedious in Skyrim once I got to a certain level. Early on it netted me some great kills but then I became powerful and rich enough to just spam arrows and magic.
genuinely I wish I could get myself into skyrim or fallout. I've started them many times and just lose interest within a couple hours I should try again though probably
I don't know, I think my favorite stealth gameplay was Dishonored 1 and 2. "Blinking" was just a great way to get around people without being seen.
My favorite is tough. Might actually be Styx: Shards of Darkness. Stealth and platforming go so well together
