“They despise material reality, reject the collective and the social as realities, and are submerged in fiction. Moving away from their preferred playing field, social media, may be one of the first steps toward their demise.” It’s time to hit them where it hurts. We share how in this thread:
When will 50501 stop using Substack (affiliated with techbros) and start using Ghost? ghost.org/changelog/6/
And your advice is shared via...SUBSTACK? Come on. Get off substack!
What is a better alternative to substack?
Several good people recommend using GHOST, instead.
Most people wouldn't click a link to a site they are not familiar with. Ghost is virtually unknown to most people.
Yes, if unfamiliar use a secure search engine to look up sites, organiizations, etc.
Ghost is a much better alternative. However, for resistance purposes, it is still vital to share information on techno-fascist billionaire platforms, while also encouraging people to boycott them.
I haven't tried Ghost, I will check that out. As for the broligarchy owned outlets, I understand the needs and the frustrations of having to utilize them, perhaps specific timed boycotts can wean more people off? The clock app's brief ban was enough to break my habit and I just never went back.
Good point!
Just like addiction, sometimes it’s easier to wean off these platforms by taking a short break. You can deactivate your FB account without deleting it. Once you realize you can live without it, then you can delete it forever. You can download your data before deleting so you save your photos etc.
I deactivated it for a week initially. Then realized I can get off it for a month. Then after leaving it deactivated for months, I deleted it altogether. I prefer Instagram but I know it’s still part of their field so that’s next. I don’t even really use it much anyway.
I’m on threads but only to read stuff so that’s easy to get off from. Ive deleted X even before stupid Elon turned super psycho. I try to live actual live life experiences now and I believe I’m more in touch with myself and the world. Google might be harder to get out of but they’re not as bad as FB
I do use DuckDuckGo for search and been using it for a while. I don’t notice much difference and I still get to be efficient. I used to use Firefox and that wasn’t bad either. Now I gotta get people to come with me coz it is a bit lonely outside the matrix.
