The first brother looks like he cried his eyes out when he went to the emo, sceneo, goth sleepover party of my dreams. The second brother is directing us away from an infinity mirror of our nightmares apparently!! Bless heem.

@thaumusthebard.bsky.social : With all respect, I just realized this may have been art about cancer. Did my playfulness unsee a deeper meaning?
No worries. Yes, the original piece had to do with cancer. I was diagnosed with stage III melanoma after my parents died 3 years ago. It’s currently in complete remission, though the treatment I took for it made me sick…but that’s okay, I’m still better now than I was 2 years ago.
Oh my heavens, thank you for clarifying. My Pops, also on Bsky, just survived stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was his caregiver so I do apologize for not seeing that sacreditvity at first. My empathy for you & your beloved parents. 🦋✨ That’s a lot. Did Cancer feel like panel 2?
I’m not sure what you mean by panel 2. I couldn’t even feel the cancer itself, I had a mole on my back that kept bleeding, that’s how I found out. I got the actual cancer diagnosis a week after my mom died, and found out it was stage III a few weeks after my dad died.
Sometimes people have crazy dreams, sleep paralysis, or just heightened experiences while on chemo or other treatments so I was wondering if this artwork of yours had a deeper meaning. 🦋 Oh my Gods, that must have been heartbreaking.. How did you handle all that?
I’ve had crazy and graphic nightmares since I was 5 years old, and for nearly 22 years I suffered from sleep paralysis and only recently had it again. It wasn’t easy dealing with all of that, and I still have issues from it because I was my parents caretaker and am the one who found them dead.
You’re welcome. I’m glad your dad survived his cancer. That’s actually what my dad died of, cancer, but his was stage IV prostate cancer. I actually looked a lot like him before he died in December of 2023. I had lost a lot of weight, could barely eat anything and slept most of the day.
